Guide to the House
Wi-Fi Setup
Wi-fi
The house is equipped with high speed internet that can handle many devices. There is a wifi porter in the kitchen. For Android users, simply tap the porter and you’ll be connected. For Apple iOS users, scan the QR code on the back of the porter and tap the link to get connected. The password is also listed on the back of the porter and in the house.
Temperature Control
Temperature
We keep the house temperature at 72 degrees. The thermostat is not available for adjusting by guests. The best way to keep the house comfortable is to keep the doors closed at all times. Call or text us to adjust if necessary.
TVs & Streaming
TVs
All TV’s in the house are smart TV’s. You are welcome to sign into your streaming account to watch your favorite shows. Don’t forget to log out before you leave.
Laundry Tips
Laundry
- Washer and dryer are available for guest use.
- Please start a load of white towels before you leave.
- Do not wash white towels with blue towels.
- Please keep dirty and wet clothes and towels off the floor and furnishings.
- Do not wash blue beach towels with white towels.
- Hooks in the bathroom and hangers in the closet are available to keep soiled laundry off the floor.
- Keeping laundry off carpets and furniture prevents unpleasant smells.
Trash & Recycling
Trash
Please remove all trash from the house before leaving, including bathroom trash. Place it in the dumpster at the top of the driveway. Unfortunately recycling is not available in our area. Wild animals LOVE the trash, please be sure your trash is all the way in the receptacles and not around it or on the ground.
Appliance Manuals
Appliance Instruction Manuals
Many of the appliance manuals are located in the kitchen in drawers or on shelves near their location, if needed.
Dock
Dock Safety
- Be aware of general dock safety. The dock is constructed of wood and areas of the dock can become slippery when wet. Cushions for the dock furniture are in the dock box. When you are done using these, please ensure they are put back in the dock box so that they do not blow away in the wind or get destroyed by local wildlife. Charges apply for non-compliance.
- The open boat slip is available for guest use. Please be aware that there is a metal dock structure across the lake side of the slip under the water. THIS IS NOT A SAFE PLACE TO JUMP IN. The best places to jump in are off the end of the dock towards the lake.
- Please pull the wet steps up at night and before you leave. This prevents them from getting slippery for the next guest and keeps them clean and enjoyable. There is a pin on the side of the ladder that secures it in place. Please replace the pin when not in use.
- There are two jet ski lifts available for guest use. If you are unfamiliar with how to use these, please call or text us! We are happy to assist! Justin (507) 360-7302.
Parking Info
Parking
- The property has plenty of parking. We do share parking with the neighbor. There is a white line on the parking area denoting which is designated for each house. Please respect the line and park on our side.
- No parking allowed in neighbors driveways
- The driveway has quite an incline, not unlike most driveways in the Ozarks. We strongly recommend NOT pulling a trailer down the driveway. If you are pulling a boat, we recommend leaving the trailer at the place you launch the boat and secure it with a hitch lock for safety.
